On 7th October 2014, St.Cecilia Public School, Vikaspuri in hands with Memorial University of Newfoundland, St.John’s, Canada organized an Admission Counseling session for students of class XI and XII. The spokesperson Mr.Keir McIsaac, International Student Recruitment Officer from Memorial University addressed almost 100 students of Science and Commerce stream regarding studying in Canada. He briefed the students about the 2nd largest country in the world i.e Canada with 5 different time zones. He stated that Memorial University offers a wide range of over 100 programme options at Graduation/Under graduation level. The fields are diversified into Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Political science, Psychology, Music, Fine arts, English proficiency and many others. Canada is an affordable stay in country offering quality education with upswing career opportunities. The students were also guided about various co-operative programmes that offer full time work experience along with regular studies. The audience was infused with a hope of making their dream of international studies possible.The students also approached Mr.Keir for a one to one interactive session. The session was indeed very fruitful. Mr.Saroop Singh, Director of the school also shared his experiences with the students about his visit to University campuses in Canada. He encouraged the students to strive further for meritorious accomplishments in foreign land. He also expressed his heart felt thanks to the esteemed guest for mentoring the students.
