Workshop on Career Competency for class XII

“Career is a lifelong choice to happiness”


An interactive motivational workshop was conducted for students of class XII of St. Cecilia’s Public School in bands with Pratham-a unit of IIFM. The spokesperson talked extensively to students about career competency with a definite plan of action. The spokesperson discussed various aspects of career selection with the students on the need for a good CBSE percentage for admissions, choice of undergraduate courses to decide a lucrative lifelong career, number of seats Compared to number of students wanting admission in good colleges and many other concerns.

The spokesperson also discussed the various admissions criterias with respect to admissions in numerous reputed colleges. Parental pressure and parental expectations were also talked about in an open ended discussion. The students were encouraged by the spokesperson to choose any college / institute on the basis of their capability. The students also open heartedly forwarded their queries to the spokesperson. At the end of the session, students were empowered and made aware about the various career competent courses that they can undertake for pursuing successful careers.
