Gurupurab Celebrations
“Nanak Naam Jahaaj hai,
Charhe so uttara paar”
Means : O’ Nanak the name of wahe guru is like a ship which will take you to your salvation.
On the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Devji’s Birth Anniversary a special assembly was conducted by the students. It started with the soul stirring ‘prabhat pheri’ that created a pious ambience. It was followed by the recital of the ‘mool mantra’, the meaning of which was also explained. Melodious shabads were sung by the students. Enriching saakhis narrated by the students and Ms. Madhu Rai were highly praised. Inspirational lectures by Ms Meena Rawat helped the students to imbibe the teachings of Guru Nanak Devji. The children enjoyed watching the motivating saakhis and movie-Guru Nanak Devji. To add on to the beauty of the celebrations class langars were organized by the primary children in their respective classrooms wherein everyone participated with lot of zeal. The visit to the ‘Singh Sabha Gurudwara’ Vikaspuri was exciting for them. The celebrations concluded with the Intra class quiz on Sikhism for classes IV & V.
