Independence Day Celebrations 2015

On the bright fateful day of August, the school witnessed patriotic celebrations of Independence Day in the school campus. Living the endearing present and looking forward to promising future more than 2100 students attended the Independence Day celebrations to witness the flag hoist as the Indian tricolor flew high and mighty. The celebration was a flash back reviving the patriotic feelings of our great leaders whose struggle and sacrifices in manifolds earned us our freedom.

The school choir group initiated the preparation with a prayer to praise the Gods. The marching contingents of class XI, student council, the Houses – Equality, Justice, Peace and Unity saluted Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra. The School observed the flag hoisting as Madam Principal unfurled the national flag. The whole school sang the national anthem in one voice. Madam Principal in her speech spoke about the new India that our hon’ble Prime Minister envisages for Indians. She also emphasized on the importance of the role of youth in shaping the nation. The boy students of senior and middle wing choir also presented patriotic songs singing about the glory of our nation. Class I students danced on the tune of song ‘India-wale’. A musical sport panorama on the song  ‘Chak de’ was performed that showcased aerobics, hoopla skills, skipping etc in a splendid show. A power packed judo performance was also shown on the song ‘Rang de basanti’.

The celebrations saw a mighty closure as all students appreciated the glorious past of the country, felt proud to be Indians and pledged to further the glory of the nation.
