Career Counselling Workshop – Learning to make the apt Career
St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikaspuri on 11th February 2016 in association with Unique Psychological Services organized a workshop on ‘Career Counselling’ for Class X students so that the students could get focus and proper guidance in choosing apt careers. The spokesperson Dr. Gagandeep is a renowned child and clinical psychologist.
She conducted an interactive session with the students informing them regarding successful career options. She also took up activities that enabled students to understand the role of PIA i.e. Personality, Interest and Aptitude while opting for career choices. Understanding one’s strength, academic potential, need of self analysis were some of the topics discussed by the spokesperson.
Other than main stream career options for Science and Commerce aspirants, Dr. Gagandeep also discussed creative careers such as wildlife photography, commercial arts, image consultant graphic designing, etc. The students at the end of the workshop were having a better understanding of career.
In an interactive session after the workshop, students also seeked one to one advice and suggestions by the spokesperson regarding their queries. It was indeed a fruitful and beneficial session for the students. The workshop was enlightening for students who are at a significant threshold of making an important decision of their careers.
