Curriculum and Assessment for classes I-II

ENGLISH, HINDI, MATHS, EVS(CLASSES I-III), SCIENCE(IV-V), SOCIAL SCIENCE(IV-V), GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, COMPUTER SCIENCE, MUSIC & DANCE, ART & CRAFT, PHYSICAL EDUCATION

EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT :

  • The session is divided into three terms. First Term from April to August. Second Term from September to November and Third Term from December  to March.

          - First and Second Term will have one cycle each of Unit Test comprising of written and oral assessment.

          - Third Term will have two cycles of Unit Test comprising of written assessment.

          - Each term will have

One cycle of Daily assessment

Three cycles of Personal and Social skills Assessment

One Unit test cycle of Minor subjects

  •  Weightage is awarded to Academics as well as Personal and Social Skills in the calculation of overall Grade in each term.

Subjects offered :

ENGLISH, HINDI, MATHS, SCIENCE, SOCIAL SCIENCE, GENERAL KNOWLEDE, COMPUTER SCIENCE, MUSIC & DANCE, ART & CRAFT, PHYSICAL EDUCATION

EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT  :

·    Each session is divided into two Terms.

·    Each term has two cycles of Unit Tests and one Term End Exam (Half yearly /Final Exam) for Scholastic areas.

·    In each Term 5% weightage is given to Periodic Test, 5% to Multiple Assessment, 5% to Notebook submission, 5% to subject enrichment activities and 80% to

      Term end exam.

·    Two activities and two Multiple Assessments for each subject will be assessed in each Term.

·    Maximum marks for each Unit test will be 20 and Term end exam 80. 

.    Annual result will comprise of 50% 1st term (half-early) result & 50% of 2nd term (final exams) result.

·    Marks as well as Grades will be awarded in the Report Card.

·    Grading pattern for Scholastic areas is as follows:

·  Co-scholastic areas will include Computer Science, GK, Art Education, Health and Physical Education. Grading on Co-scholastic areas will be done on 3 point

    grading scale A- outstanding, B-Very Good and C-Fair.

·   Computer Science, GK and Art & Craft Exam will be held with each Term End Exam.

·  The students will also be assessed for the discipline based on attendance, sincerity, behavior, values, uniform, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations,

    attitude towards society, nation and others. Grading on Discipline will be done on 3 point grading scale A- outstanding, B-Very Good and C-Fair.

·   It is compulsory for the students to appear in all the Periodic Tests and Term Exams.

·   A student must secure 33% marks in order to qualify for next class.
