St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikas Puri rejoiced in glee as the Cecilian fraternity celebrated Rays of Love – Annual Day 2015 on 11th December with pomp and show. The glorious day witnessed the gracious presence of Chief Guest Mrs Seema Punia, a world renowned athlete to represent India in 2016 Rio Olympics, Guest of Honour Mrs Usha Saini, Deputy Director of Education, Zone XVIII, West B, Mr. Bhagwan Dass Wadhwa, Deputy Education Officer, Zone XVIII, West B, Special Guest Mrs. Daljeet Kaur, Former Additional Director, SCERT, Special Guest Mr. H K Pandey, Former Education Officer, Chairman Prof. Sewa Singh and Madam Principal Mrs. R Bhumra along with special guests and invitees.

In her address Chief Guest Mrs. Seema Punia congratulated the Cecilian Scholars for their exemplary and meritorious achievements, prizes and awards. She spoke to the gathering calling the youth of the country as the true resource of progress and success.  Madam Punia, motivated the students and encouraged them to achieve loftier heights by her benign presence.

The Lighting of the auspicious panch-deep set the floral welcome of the guests and the onset of the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony wherein more than 170 students were appreciated with prizes, trophies and awards for their extraordinary achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities.

The cultural panorama Rays of Love presented the power of love to bind the world together. The presentation showcased the love of God teaching mankind to live in eternal peace and brotherhood. The audience went home enriched with the message that love is a universal emotion and love knows no boundaries through the life of the protagonist Chandan.

Rays of Love unfurled with a bow in reverence to God to seek His blessings by Shree Ram Vandana dance. Healthy body is the holiest temple was emphasized by the Yoga performance aiming at Arogya Jeevan. Class I students danced to the tunes of ‘Oh! Grandmaa’ to express the infinite love children have for their grand-parents.

‘Toyland dance’ brought to life the love of children for their friends and toys. ‘I Love School’ presentation by Class II, III and IV students revealed the love for school, learning and education that fosters in the heart of every student. The love for mankind, virtues of kindness, generosity and benevolence were presented in the scintillating ‘Charity Show dance’.

Love for one’s country and love for the entire world was respectively showcased in the Classical Dance as well as International dance performances that received stupendous applause from the audience. The finale act ‘We are the World’ amalgamated the varied rays of love with the love of mankind for God.

The day came to an end with the school campus swarmed with guests, parents and students standing mighty and proud soaking in the patriotic fervor of the national anthem with proud hearts.
