Investiture Ceremony 2015-16
The Investiture Ceremony is one of the most sacrosanct sites in a student’s life at school wherein students are formally entrusted with the onerous responsibility of being part of the council body. The ceremony for the year 2015-16 was held on 31st July 2015 in the school premises at St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikaspuri. In a majestic procession, special Guests Mr. C.B. Bhardwaj, Chairman Sir Prof. Sewa Singh, School Director Mr. Saroop Singh, Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra, Vice Principal Mrs. Inderpreet Kaur and parents witnessed the proceedings of the ceremony. The solemn ceremony commenced with an English Prayer song ‘Showers of Blessings’ to invoke divine blessings for both the outgoing and incoming responsibilities of the council members.
The Guests were overwhelmed to see the patriotic dance performance of students paying tribute to their motherland India. The school choir group also sang a melodious motivational song inspiring everyone to achieve lofty goals.
The council members received their badges from the guests. The newly elected council members took an oath. In an inspirational speech Mr. Bhardwaj congratulated all students, parents as well as school management for encouraging leadership and sense of responsibility, Chairman sir Prof. Sewa Singh applauded the young leaders as they took upon themselves the mantle of responsibility and commitment. He emphasized on the philosophy of the school that focuses on acquisition of knowledge and wisdom attaining character and courage. Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra addressed the students of today as visionaries and torch bearers of tomorrow.
The event ended on a note of positivity and willingness, with the council members promising to do their best in whichever way they can. The investiture ceremony concluded with lot of hopes and aspirations as parents, special guests, teachers and council members interacted with each other having light bites and tea.
