Workshop on POCSO ACT by reknowned  clinical Psychologist Dr. Gagandeep

  

On 12 March 2016, St. Cecilia’s Public School in hands with reknowned clinical Psychologist Dr. Gagandeep from unique Psychological services organized a three hour duration interactive workshop for all teaching as well as non-teaching staff members on POCSO ACT, raising voice against sexual abuse of children and spreading awareness regarding the same. The spokesperson Dr. Gagandeep talked about the need of Sex education in schools and teaching children bow to remain alert, aware and safe. Video documentaries on sex education and child abuse were also shown to staff members with the objective to train them as to bow an unfortunate incident should be dealt with if any child is in need.

The staff members were trained to be effective protectors and figures of trust in the eyes of the children. The formation of POCSO ACT, its objective, guidelines, procedure as well as importance was told to all staff members.

Madam Principal at the close of the interactive workshop thanked the spokesperson. She addressed the gathering and ensured all that the safety of the child will always remain prime concern of the school authorities. The session was followed by tea and snacks served to each staff members. The workshop was enriching experience for all present.
