5th September, 2012 – Teacher’s Day was celebrated with enthusiastic zeal at St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikaspuri. In a special cultural performance, the Cecilians brought the stage to life with wonderous talent. The young scholars of class XII took charge of the academic as well as the administrative working of the school. The prodigies felt elated in the role of student-teachers.In her address Madam Principal Mrs. R. Bhumra urged the teachers to be role models, lead a disciplined life and create a moral ethical environment. The school management conferred cash awards to 35 teachers for their dedication and commitment to the cause of education in the presence of Chief Guest Shri H.K. Pandey an envisioned educationist and Guest of Honour Shri Bhardwaj an eminent personality.
On the occasion Chairman Prof Sewa Singh stated that the teachers are behind the economic success of any nation. It is the teacher’s responsibility to mould children and shape the future of nation. Teachers presented a flurry of dance performances, recitals and songs. The day came to a close with a lunch courtesy of the school management.
