St. Cecilia’s Public School, Vikaspuri in hands with SGT University, Gurgaon organized a workshop on careers and professions in contemporary world for almost 175 students of class XII on 13th October 2015. The interactive counseling session was conducted by Dr. Shaurya Tandon, Faculty of Dental Deptt. of SGT University.
The students were made aware regarding the varied fields such as Dental Sciences, Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences, Nursing, Medicine and Health Sciences, faculty of Humanities, Commerce and Management, Computer Science Engineering etc. The session was an eye opener as the students were made aware about co-curriculums that are structured keeping in mind the needs of industry where the students would be finally placed.
The spokesperson also made students aware that the contemporary world has scope for mass media, journalism. The students were motivated to become professionals through empowerment with knowledge and skills while upholding the values of integrity, tolerance and mutual respect. The students interacted actively with the spokesperson regarding possibilities of lucrative careers in the coming times.
